Purpose and Mission
Our current mission is to renovate and upgrade the Church’s infrastructure so that it can be a comfortable, welcoming environment for our local community.
The Church’s vision is to be more than just a place of worship. We aspire to be the vibrant centre of our community, conveniently located in the heart of Maesteg. Our strategic position, directly opposite the bus station and within walking distance of free public car parks and the Train station, ensures that we are easily accessible to all members of our community.
Centre For Community
Since December 2022, we have partnered with a Charity, Ingrafted Branches, which offer music nights combined with food and liquid refreshments, including BBQs, for the community. Other areas for local support through this Charity have been Art Exhibitions at the free coffee mornings held every Friday from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m.
This collaboration has proved very successful and future projects are pending. One of the primary reasons for the development and upgrades to the infrastructure including a new roof, solar panels and a new toilet block will allow for the facilities to be open at least five days a week. The Solar Panels will significantly reduce our energy costs and our energy footprint.
We have 8 elected Deacons, three of whom are the Church's trustees and help with oversight and governance. We hold regular members' meetings, which help to inform and shape the direction of the Church, as this is where all significant decisions are made.
We are a newly registered Church and a new, vibrant, developing Church with opportunities for all who feel called to Ministry.
